Brickdale was a painter on the fringes of the Pre-Raphaelite gang in Victorian England. She was passionate about historical dress and faithfully recreated historical details in her watercolour illustrations.

The five pictures in this set are from Brickdale's 'The Golden Book of Famous Women', a collection of writing and poetry published in 1919.

Standard A6 postcard size, 14.8 x 10.4 cm. Printed on premium card, with a classy matte finish, these postcards make beautiful little gifts or display them as mini art prints.

Each set is packaged in a compostable cellophane bag and recyclable card envelope.
